Ari Pent and the Ari Pent Trio helms an exciting new direction for jazz and jazz-fusion, Uniquely integrating aspects of rock, funk, electronic music, and world styles, Ari Pent has a compositional style that has been described as “The Bad Plus but gay” by their peers and “The most interesting thing happening in Boston” by their mentors at the Berklee College of Music. Originally hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ari Pent plays five different instruments as well as composing and producing. Having made a name at Berklee, the Ari Pent Trio is the culmination of years of work in sharing a singular conception of art with the world.
