Music Bio

Over the past 10 years THE RATIONALES have established themselves as one of the most respected, hard working and exciting bands in Boston. Known for Hooks, Harmony and Heart.
THE RATIONALES play Lush American Rock and Roll colored by Alternative, indie, Americana and power-pop their lush, harmony drenched, guitar driven rock is sure to leave you remembering a great show and some great songs.
Their 2017 release UPSTREAM earned them BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS nominations for AMERICANA ARTIST OF THE YEAR and SONG OF THE YEAR. The record made many year end best of lists and saw the band play a slew of packed shows and festivals from Boston to New York, Nashville to Toronto.
While spending much of 2018 playing live in the Northeast and beyond in support of UPSTREAM, the RATIONALES will be working all along to record their full length followup for 2019 release.

The Rationales have been a fixture on the boston scene for 10 years now. Starting with our earliest shows right up to our Boston Music Awards nominations this year.
