Music Bio

Savoir Faire is the musical endeavor of guitarist, singer, and songwriter Sarah Fard. Sarah studied Music Education at the University of New Hampshire with an emphasis on jazz guitar, and also holds a Graduate Degree in Music Education from Boston University. Now based in Boston, Sarah is active in promoting music education for all, both teaching full time in the public school system as well as working with the Berklee Institute for Arts and Special Needs. Her activism is apparent in the music she writes and performs, which can be defined as “jazz noir with a twist of rock ‘n roll.” With lyrics to contemplate, guitar riffs to empower, and a vintage heart, Savoir Faire aims to foster a love for nostalgia as well as a drive for social change. She performs at New England venues such as Nick’s Worcester, Blue in Portland, Riverwalk Cafe and Bar of Nashua, and The Lilypad of Cambridge. Currently working on an EP of original work, Sarah hopes to release some new music in 2018 as Savoir Faire.
